Kathy Riley

Health Director and Camp Nurse

Kathy earned her BSN from Penn State. Since then, she has worked in surgical oncology and Hospice care, and is currently in her 21st year as a School Nurse. Nurse Kathy spent 18 summers at Cape Cod Sea Camps, finishing her time there as Nurse Manager for the Day and Resident camps. In her spare time, Kathy sings with the Cape Cod Chorale and thoroughly enjoys spending time with her 5 grandkids ( and her 7 adult kids too!). 2021 was her first summer at BDC, and Kathy says she still pinches herself that she got to work with such a warm and welcoming staff!

I love how much the kids PLAY at BDC!

BDC creates a space where campers can really thrive as individuals and feel good about who they are.

The way children are encouraged to have good spirit, kindness and hope is so important and you all do it so well!

Brewster Day Camp is an amazing place! Welcoming and belonging as core values were apparent from the first moments we stepped onto campus.

BDC is welcoming, inclusive, and encouraging! Everyone from the counselors to the parking lot staff are amazing. BDC is the best. Seriously, this is the best money I've spent on my child ever.

There is so much spirit and energy flowing through BDC! And best of all, BDC is inclusive of everyone…when you come to BDC, you are family.

BDC offers the flexibility of a day camp and the strong culture and tradition of an overnight camp community!

You create a warm, nurturing environment that is bursting with a feeling of community. Friday morning assemblies and Family Swim are a great example of that.

We love so much about BDC: the wonderful staff, the variety and quality of activities, and the overall atmosphere! BDC is one of the most genuine, warm-hearted places and we feel lucky to have it.

Brewster Day Camp makes everyone feel welcome and a part of the community. I’ve never seen anything like it!
